Woodrow C Allen

Woodrow C. Allen, 79 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Monday February 24th, 2025. "Woody" was born and grew up in New Gretna, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Woody worked as an Electrician for A.C. Electric and was a Tuckerton and Little Egg Harbor Police Officer. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge, Coast Guard Auxiliary and Citizens on Patrol. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, puzzles and spending time clamming in the bay. He also very much loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Woody was predeceased by his parents Woodrow Wilson Allen and Dorothy (Steele) Allen.

He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie of 58 years, children Penny Lewis and husband Phil of Galloway, NJ, Patty Schmidt and husband Chris of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and Tommy Allen and wife Amanda of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, sisters Janet Brown, Marjorie Conover and Eleanor Hutchins all of Delaware, grandchildren Ryan Lewis and wife Colleen, Brandon Lewis and wife Megan, Chrissy Angelus and fiancé Ryan, Victoria Albanese and husband Andrew, T.J. Allen and wife Gia and Faith Allen, great-grandchildren Dax Lewis, Rylan Allen and Vivian Albanese and his grand-dogs.

Visitation will be held on Saturday March 1st, 2025 from 9am until his Funeral Service at 11am at Calvary Baptist Church 850 Railroad Dr. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations are made to Calvary Baptist Church or Hackensack Meridian Hospice Care at 80 Nautilus Drive Manahawkin, NJ 08050.
