William J. Keating Jr.

William J. Keating Jr., 78, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday surrounded by his family July 24, 2024. Born in Orange, NJ, William spent time living in East Orange and Cranford before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1959. William was a Tollman for NJ Bell and a member of the American Legion Post 493. He was a train enthusiast who enjoyed building and collecting trains, growing tomatoes, camping, and being with his children and grandchildren. 

William was predeceased by his parents William Sr. and Essie Keating, and his aunt Marie Keating. 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Elizabeth, daughter Stacey Smith and husband Mike of Port St. Lucie, FL, daughter Kimberly Mahoney and husband John of Tennessee, son Bill Keating and wife Andrea of Palmyra, VA, grandchildren Deanna, Earl, Allysa, Andrew, Ryan, Harrison, Lilly, Jacob, Zachary, Kaitlyn, and 7 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held on Monday July 29, 2024 from 4-8pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road, Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Burial will take place on Tuesday July 30, 2024 at 1130am at Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton, NJ.
