Violetta M Blanchard

Violetta Blanchard (Elkins), 95, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2015 where she resided at The Terraces in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY and a long-time resident of Barnegat, NJ, Violetta is survived by her nine children, seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years, Robert C. Blanchard, along with her two brothers and two sisters.
Violetta will be fondly remembered by her family as ""Nanny Poo,"" a devoted mother and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a loving and caring woman who dedicated her life to her family. Violetta will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31st from 6pm to 9pm at Maxwell Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Funeral Mass will be offered, 12pm on Wednesday, April 1st at St. Mary's Church, W.Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Beachview Ave., Manahawkin.
