Theresa Marie Chestnut

Theresa Marie Chestnut, age 90 of Little Egg Harbor NJ passed away March 23, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday April 3, 2024 from 10-11am at Maxwell Funeral Home in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Interment will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Tuckerton, NJ.

Theresa (Terry) was born October 22, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA. Theresa worked for Little Egg Harbor Township doing clerical work until she retired. Theresa was loved by many, and loved them back just as hard. Her biggest joy in life was seeing her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren! While Theresa was strong, sweet and loving she also had a feisty side, earning her the nickname “Red Hot Grandma”. She often had crazy one liners that always kept us on our toes. You never knew what she would say next, but she always kept us laughing. In retirement her days often consisted of watching TV, using her cellphone, spending time with her friends playing cards at the community center, and spending time with her special friend John. John and Theresa enjoyed cooking, going out to eat, watching TV and going to the casino together. They looked after and cared for each other, which the family is forever grateful for. Throughout the day Theresa used her cell phone to keep up with her family, she loved going on facebook and seeing all the pictures. She also loved to facetime, every night she looked forward to facetime calls with her daughter Donna. Weekly they enjoyed watching dancing with the stars and the bachelor together via facetime. She also loved to watch game shows, Judge Judy and Dr. Phil, she would often plan her day around her favorite shows. Theresa will always be remembered for her feisty loving heart, she made a lasting impact on others and she will be greatly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her husband Philip of 37 years, her parents Mary & Gus; sisters Louise, Delores and Anna; brother Dominick; son Philip; granddaughter Rebekah; great-great grandson Jayden; companion Frank

Survivors include her daughter Donna and son in law Ed; daughter in law Colleen; granddaughters Tracey, Danielle, and Jessica; grandsons Patrick and Ryan; great granddaughters Lauren, Taylor, Tiana, Trinity, Sofia, Harper and Zoey; great grandsons Tremayne, Dante and Zayden; great great granddaughters Rose, Greenly and Lilly; great great grandsons Mateo and Grayson.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital Research.
