It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Stanley Heinert, on December 6. 2024, at the age of 84. He was born in Dickinson North Dakota, on February 14, 1940, the youngest son of Carl and Genevieve Baer Heinert.
Stanley served his country in the Air Force, U.S. Army Reserve, and worked as an Engineer at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey. He later retired to Ocala Florida.
Stanley is survived by first wife, Joan Buckley, and children, Michelle Martin (Sean), Janette Logan (Jeff), Elizabeth Shirley, Carl Heinert, and Mary Mitchell. Grandfather to Jade Distefano, Drew Mitchell (Mahalia), Jamie Armstrong (Jim), Brittany Welsh, Lauren Mitchell, Terance Mitchell, Julia Logan Kearns (Monroe), Joan Logan Palermo (Frankie), Micheal Shirley, Jessica Logan, Corinne Heinert, great grandfather to Andrew, Lily, Drew, Violet, Aysia, Noah, Logan, Leni, and many nieces and nephews.
Stanley was predeceased by his wife Mary Beth, brothers Thomas, Paul, Pete, Carl, sister Genevieve, son-in-law Michael Shirley, daughter-in-law Diedre Heinert, and grandson Devon Collins.
Stanley found great joy in spending time working with his hands creating art. He loved the outdoors, being on the water, fishing, crabbing, and hunting. He was a great storyteller of the one that got away and panning for gold.
Stanley will be forever in our hearts, and his legacy will live on in the lives he touched. Rest in peace, Dad. You were loved beyond words and will never be forgotten.
