Sophie C. Thornberry

Sophie C. Thornberry, 82 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Tuesday June 2, 2015 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she lived in Vermont before moving to Little Egg Harbor 50 years ago. Sophie was a loving and caring person who loved to smile and she treated everyone like family. She enjoyed shopping and always liked to get a good deal.
She was predeceased by her husband Linn Thornberry in 1989, sons Narb Thornberry and Eric Thornberry and daughter Tracy Thornberry.
She is survived by her loving children, sons Michael Thornberry, John Thornberry, Ray Thornberry and Chet Thornberry, daughters Kris Barrett and Ann Turner, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many true friends.
Visitation hours will be held on Saturday June 6, 2015 from 10am to 12pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
