Ruth M Jones

Ruth M. Jones (Husvar) born December 28th, 1925 peacefully passed away after a long and fulfilling life on July 3rd, 2021 in Mystic Island surrounded by family and loved ones at the age of 95. Born and raised in Forest City, PA, Ruth later married and raised her family in Trenton, NJ, before settling in Mystic Island.

Ruth was predeceased by her late devoted husband of 50 years, Robert F. Jones Sr., a distinguished Army veteran and P.O.W. survivor. She is also predeceased by her beloved son Robert F. Jones Jr. and survived by daughter Pamela Schuler (Jones) and husband Steven. A loving grandmother and great-grandmother to Robert F. Jones III; Edward Jones and wife Tiffany - with John, Matthew, Andrew, Layla, and Courtney; Jason Jones Sr - with Jason Jones Jr; and Nichole Aichele (Jones) and husband Jason - with Stephanie, Kaitlyn, and Jason Jr (JJ).

Ruth was a devoted catholic who enjoyed her visits with the priest and Sunday morning Mass. She worked most of her life as a bookkeeper for 35+ years including the US Postal service. She was a faithful member of the American legion auxiliary. Ruth loved playing the piano and instilling her love for classical music into her childrens’ lives. She was also an avid reader and a big fan of murder mystery TV shows. She especially loved watching her grandson Ed return home with a fresh caught fish, which she thoroughly enjoyed for dinner that night.

A celebratory Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday July 8th, 2021 at 11am at St. Theresa Church 450 Radio Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087 for friends and family.
