Richard E. Weiss, age 83, of Manahawkin, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 with his family by his side.
He was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Iselin, NJ before moving to Manahawkin in 1992. He worked as a Communications Technician for many years for AT&T, NJ. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the US Army. He was a member of the VFW, Iselin, and American Legion, Barnegat, Masonic Colonial-Kane Lodge, Chester, and the Beach Haven Loyal Order of the Moose, Manahawkin.
Richard is predeceased by his sister Viola Stoner and is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Lillian L. Poppe Weiss, his sons; Kenneth R. Weiss and his wife Janet, William E. Weiss, Richard A. Weiss and his four grandchildren; Alyson, Scott, Dylan and Zachary.
Visiting hours will be Friday, January 2, 2015 from 10am until his funeral service at 11am from Maxwell Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
