Richard J. Cassidy IV, of the Mystic Island section of Little Egg Harbor, NJ for 15 years passed away on January 22, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born on February 28, 1958. He attended Southwood School in Old Bridge, NJ, Middle School, East Brunswick High School and Automotive School all in East Brunswick, NJ.
Richard’s greatest passion was for classic, collectable cars and he knew everything about them. He loved spending time with the family and every holiday of the year was a special occasion that had to be celebrated. Whenever the family got together, he always went overboard. Great Cook! Great Host!
Richard is survived by his son Richard Cassidy V of Toms River, NJ, parents Richard and Carol Cassidy of Toms River, NJ, brother Michael Cassidy and his wife Jackie and their children nephew/Godson Michael Cassidy and niece Breeana Cassidy, Aunt Tish and Uncle Ronny, Aunt Ruth, Aunt Mary, Aunt Gail, Aunt Rosemary and Uncle Bobby, Uncle Tommy, and so many cousins and friends, longtime girlfriend Dollie and her daughters Heather and husband Dan, Amanda and Ricco and the grandbabies Riley, Aubree and Brooklyn.
Deceased Sophie (pet) and Bella. His dog, “Shadow”, misses him. Richard used to say Shadow was his best pal and without him he would not be here. “Buddies till the end”.
Our Richard never gave up and was truly a warrior. He will never be forgotten.
