Raymond Robert Orpen Jr.

Raymond Robert Orpen Jr., 83 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home on January 14, 2019.  Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he lived in Matawan, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor 18 years ago.  Raymond served in the NJ National Guard where he worked on tanks, he worked as a mechanic for Revlon in Edison, NJ and was an EMT when he lived in Aberdeen, NJ.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and assisting anyone that needed his help.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 46 years Joan Orpen in 2017 and son Daniel McCarthy.
He is survived by his children Susan Gido and husband Walter of Edison, NJ, Michael McCarthy of Little Egg Harbor, Raymond McCarthy and wife Sharon of Middletown, DE, Raymond Orpen III of Union Beach, NJ, Fred Orpen and wife Hildi of Monroe, NJ and Maureen Miller and husband Lou of Belvidere, NJ, brother Donald Orpen Sr. of Osborn Island, NJ, grandchildren Jaclyn, Miranda, Kylie, Dylan, Kristen, Gabriella, David, Daniel, Riley, Katelyn and Luke and great grandchildren Fernando, Antonio and Leonardo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday January 17, 2019 from 5pm to 8pm with a Service at 7:30pm and Friday morning January 18th from 10am to 11am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.  Interment will be on Friday at 12:30pm at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery.
