Peter D. Prata

Peter D. Prata, 92 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on April 7, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Peter spent time living in Eatontown, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ 30 years ago. Peter was a member of St. Theresa’s Church, the VFW, former captain of the First Aid Squad, and a lifetime member and past president of the Eatontown Fire Department. He loved horse racing, spending time in his garden, and spending time with his grandkids.  

Peter is predeceased by his wife Irene Prata and brother Nicholas Prata. 

He is survived by his son Michael Prata and wife Marion of Barnegat, NJ, sister Grace Marzigliano, and grandsons William Prata and Christopher Prata.  

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 13, 2023 from 4-9 pm and Friday April 14, 2023 from 930-1030 am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ. A Funeral mass will be held on Friday April 14, 2023 at 11 am at St. Theresa’s Church 450 Radio Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Peter’s honor to the Wounded Warriors Project or a catholic charity of your choice.
