Olive Ann Prather-Flynn

Olive Flynn passed away May 20, 2024. Olive was born in Nancy, KY; one of 10 children to Howard and Ruth Prather. Upon high school graduation and marriage, she had a son named Jerry. Moving to NJ in 1963, she waitressed at various restaurants before working at Zaberens. When gambling passed she went to dealers school. She opened Resorts where she proved her son wrong (again) by staying until retirement in 2001 at age 67. Living in Northfield with her second husband Rocky, she enjoyed walking on the bike path, gardening, and reading. She was always willing to help others even if it meant doing without. Pre-deceased by Rocky, her parents, her sisters Lucille, Mary and Jean, brothers Johnny, Jack, Gordon and Bobby, and grandson Jeff. She is survived by son Jerry, his wife and HER BEST girlfriend and phone buddy Linda, stepdaughter Francine (Nick), sister Judy, brother Larry (Nina), sister in laws Fern and Phyllis, grandsons Jerry and Rocky, and great grandsons. Olive enjoyed a long life until the last few weeks. So, you’re free now mom, no more pain or worry, fly like crazy, don’t look back, we’ll take it from here. Thanks for everything, love you forever.
