Mildred E. Richmond, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ reached the end of her earthly life on Thursday September 1, 2022, at the age of 100. Born in Camden, NJ she lived in Pennsauken and Ship Bottom, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
Dedicated to volunteering her time and talent she was a member of numerous organizations throughout her life. Amity Rebekah Lodge #105-Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Royal Purple Pennsauken, Beach Haven Moose Lodge #879 with special recognition by Moose International Women of the Moose for 25 yrs of service, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #493, West Tuckerton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Great Bay Womens Club, Pinelands Golden Age Club, LBI Widow and Widowers Club,
LBI Womens Club, Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and a special recognition by Zonta International of Southern Ocean County at age 99 as someone who made a difference through donations of items made for charity.
Also an attendee of 1st Presbyterian Church of Tuckerton prior to becoming home bound.
 
Well into her senior years, she continued to enjoy social engagements especially those that involved music, dancing and dining. A fiesty women with a witty personality that also loved a good joke. She was an adventurous spirit who
traveled the world by land, air and sea. Compiling photographs of the many countries visited, she enjoyed sharing stories of those travels. Always ready to hop a bus to go on a day trip to see a show, go to a museum or the casinos.
 
She was an avid reader, a devoted Wheel of Fortune viewer and a self taught crafter who was very creative and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. Most of her creations were donated to local Nursing Homes, Veteran's Homes and Women's Shelters.
 
Mildred was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Richmond in 1974,
sons Raymond Dillon, William Dillon III, Jack Dillon, daughter Carolyn Smrkovsky, grandsons Douglas Dillon and Jason Smrkovsky and brothers William "Bud" Muchler Jr, Frank Muchler and Paul Baker.
 
She is survived by her daughters Mary Sylvester (Bill), Sarah McCreedy and
Nancy Mendoza (Ralph DelBuono), son Kenneth Richmond, brother Fred Muchler 
22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
 
A life long lived, earning Angel Wings for the journey to her final home.
 
Services for Mildred are private.
 
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her life can make a donation in Mildred's memory to the American Heart Association.
