Michael Kessler

Michael Edward Kessler, 51 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home on Friday July 15th, 2022. Michael was born in Point Pleasant, NJ, and grew up in Wall Twp. After his marriage to Melissa Kessler in 2007, he and his family spent years cultivating their lives in Ocean Gate, NJ before calling Little Egg Harbor his home 1.5 years ago. Michael worked proudly as a mason, doing stonework for Tyger Masonry in Barnegat and Cedar Glen Lakes. He had an amazingly strong work ethic, which was always apparent, and seen through the quality of his work.
Michael was very musically talented from the start, and could play any instrument. As frontman to his band, Muddy Grass Slipper he showed his poetic spirit by writing and singing nearly all of the bands vocals. Music drove him. Centered him. He collected records and things that touched his soul or that just made him smile. He was always drawn to nearly anything that reminded him of the era of his childhood. He took great comfort in collecting anything found in the time period that he cherished so much. Michael's meticulous nature for the things he had passion for is unparalleled and his spiritual side enjoyed meditation and the theory of universal connection. 
He was a wonderful husband and father who adored his wife and daughter. He was a man of his word and always followed through on his promises.

Michael was predeceased by his parents Donald and Leslie Kessler and brother Shawn Kessler.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Melissa Kessler, daughter Reese Kessler, brother Daniel Kessler and his cats Socks, Buns, Ally and Baji.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday July 30th, 2022 from 2pm until his Memorial Service at 3:45pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
