Michael ""Mickey"" ""Poppy"" Huzar, 76 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away peacefully in the arms of his family on Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin. Born in Newark, he lived in Edison, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor 10 years ago. He worked as a draftsman for Westinghouse in Newark for 25 years and was the proud owner of Rainbow Liquor and Deli in Newark for many years. Michael was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing softball. He pitched on several men's softball teams including Piscitelli Excavatings Championship teams while he also coached for the Edison Angels girls' softball league. He also enjoyed playing the lottery and BINGO and spending many summers at his family bungalow in Rockaway Beach, NY.
He was predeceased by his father Michael Huzar.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Anna Huzar, daughters Deborah Huzar of Edison and Dolores Huzar of Little Egg Harbor, mother Mary Major, brother Richard Huzar and wife Mary Ann of Manahawkin, NJ, sister Nancy Clemens and husband Thomas of Frederick, MD and his #1 buddy and granddaughter Michelle Ann Huzar of Edison. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and the entire Huzar Family.
Funeral Arrangements will be held privately under the care of Maxwell Funeral Home, Little Egg Harbor.
