Mary D. Battaglia

Mary D Battaglia , 73, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on March 2, 2023. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, Mary spent time living in Jackson, NJ and Fords, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor 16 years ago. Mary spent many years in a bowling league, enjoyed shuffleboard, bocce and playing mahjong. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing the penny slots, crafting, and enjoyed lobster on occasion. She was a kind, considerate, and thoughtful person who was loved by many and always put everyone else first. She made many friends wherever she went.

Mary is predeceased by her parents Peter and Marie Kurlonak, her brother Peter Kurlonak, her mother in law Angelina Marisi, and her brother in law Robert LeVay.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years Carmelo Battaglia, daughter Sherry Modola and husband Norman of Barnegat, NJ, son Joseph Battaglia and partner Oriett Marcus of Forked River, NJ, sister AnnMarie LeVay of Edison, NJ, many loved nieces and nephews, her dog Happy, many friends and neighbors, and many grand dogs.

A visitation will be held on Sunday March 5, 2023 from 1-4pm with the funeral service beginning at 3:30pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will be private.
