Mark Anthony Powell Jr.

Mark Anthony Powell Jr., 43, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away on August 8, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mark spent time living in Deptford, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2016. Mark was a member of the Laborer’s Union Local 172, enjoyed fishing, shooting, and working on cars. He was a big family man who enjoyed barbecuing. He was proud of how he raised his children and he loved spending individual time with his son and daughter. He loved traveling and enjoyed the East Coast States as well as Mexico, Louisiana, and Puerto Rico. He was also a die hard Atlanta Falcons fan.

Mark is survived by his wife of 24 years Maria De Los Angeles Rivera, father Mark Anthony Powell Sr. of Philadelphia, PA, mother Sherrie McKnight of New Orleans, LA, son Sinuel Mark Anthony Powell and partner Mia Boggs of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, daughter Zamaria Rebecca Powell of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, brother Shaun Grimes of Greenwood, DE, sister Zenobia Grimes of Richmond, VA, brother Robert Spence of PA, and brother Manndel Mobley of Deptford, NJ. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 19, 2023 from 10-11am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow at 12pm at Greenwood Cemetery 126 N Green Street Tuckerton, NJ 08087.
