Marie Lucy D'Amico

Marie Lucy D’Amico, 81, from Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she graduated New Utrecht High School before earning a B.A. from St. John’s University, as well as a Master’s degree from Long Island University. She spent 30 years as a teacher in the New York City school system. She relocated to Staten Island in 1986 where she and her husband lived for 20 years before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2005. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Parish, was an avid reader and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.

She is predeceased by her brother Charles Ciccarelli and survived by her loving husband James J. D’Amico, sons James C. D’Amico, Christopher D’Amico, daughter in law Rowena D’Amico, as well as her granddaughters Jacqueline and Jessica D’Amico.

Visitation will be held Friday January 28th from 2-6 PM at Maxwell Funeral Home. The family is planning a Funeral Mass and a celebration of her life later this spring.
