Madelyn Joan Osborne

Madelyn Joan Osborne, 91 of Waretown, NJ, passed away at Mystic Meadows Nursing Home, on Friday April 22, 2022.

Joan was born in Glenridge NJ, and raised in Chatham, NJ. She attended Western Maryland College, Westminster, MD, majoring in Economics, where she met her husband, Daniel. Joan and Dan raised their family in Whippany, NJ before retiring to New Bern, NC. Joan loved spending time going to the beach, boating, as well as supporting her husband in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Div.20. She also enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, gardening, feeding hummingbirds and playing Yahtzee. Her favorite holiday was Easter.

Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel H. Osborne on February 7, 2007, and her parents Mahlon M. and Madelyn Walker, of Chatham, NJ.

She is survived by her loving children, Sharon Schneider and husband Scott of Brick NJ, and Mark Osborne and wife Eileen of Lake Hopatcong, NJ. Grandchildren, Brian, and his wife Ashley, Matthew, Erica, and Kyle. Great-grandchildren Brian, Ashlynn, and Ava. Cremation service will be private.
