Lorraine Tarnow

Lorraine Tarnow, 85 of Whiting, NJ and previously of Manahawkin, NJ passed away on Monday October 9, 2023. Lorraine was born in Manhattan, NY and spent time living in Belford, NJ, Toms River, NJ and Manahawkin for 43 years before moving to assisted living in Whiting, NJ in 2022. Lorraine worked as a Teletype Operator for the Federal Government in the 1950’s and later become a home maker. She enjoyed listening to her grandchildren play music, watching old movies and TV.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Michael and Caroline Vitelli, her husband H. Carl Tarnow and her two brothers Eugene and Ronald Vitelli.

She is survived by her son Steve Tarnow and wife Barbara of Loris, SC, sister Ann Ege of North Middletown, NJ, grandchildren Erik Tarnow and wife Emily, Keith Tarnow and Lisa Tarnow and great-granddaughter Isla Mae.

Cremation and interment in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery with her husband will be private.
