Lana Marie Carnecchia

Lana Marie Carnecchia died on November 4th, 2022 after battling cancer several times over the past 10 years. 

Lana was born on December 2,1940, and was a lifelong resident of N.J. She grew up in North Bergen and lived in Bergen County for many years before finally moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2021. 

Until retiring in 2019, Lana was an administrative office manager in an engineering firm in Manhattan. Outside of work she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling. She was well known for the extravagant and unusually beautiful greeting cards that she would spend hours finding or creating, to celebrate special occasions for family and friends.

Lana leaves behind her loving sister Dale Geiss, brother-in-law Howard Geiss, brother Dean Carnecchia, sister-in-law Gunes, niece Courtney and her husband Michael Ostrander, and extended family members and friends that she cherished and held dear. 

She was preceded in death by her brother Richard and parents Alda and Prometheus Carnecchia.

She will best be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, quick wit, courageous spirit, and loyalty to her family and friends. Lana valued family most of all and her generosity knew no bounds. The memories we made and profound love we shared will live in our hearts forever. 

A private family service is planned with a celebration of life gathering to be held in the near future.
