Julia Nowalsky

Julia A. Nowalsky, 76, passed peacefully surrounded by family on April 26, 2023.  The only child of Mary and Charles Gattone, “Judy”, as her mother called her, was raised in Raritan Borough and resided most of her adult life in the Finderne section of Bridgewater.  She retired from her Executive Assistant position for PVH Corporation in 2016 and moved to Little Egg Harbor to be closer to friends (who preferred to call her “Jul”) and grandchildren.

Julia was never one to give up and overcame two bouts with cancer and beat COVID, as well.  Her penchant for organization and cleaning made her home the envy of others, while her wicked sense of humor and infectious laugh kept all entertained.  She had a particular soft spot for pugs, especially those down on their luck.  Julia will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.

Julia is survived by her son Adam Nowalsky (Karen), daughter Cheryl Nowalsky and grandchildren Jacob and Owen.

Services for family will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Julia’s name to Pug Planet Pug Rescue of Forked River, NJ.
