Julia A Gilmour

Julia A. Gilmour, 80 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Thursday September 14th, 2023. Julia was born, raised and lived in Brooklyn, NY until she was 28 years of age. In 1970 she moved to Bergenfield, NJ before retiring with her husband to Sunrise Bay in Little Egg Harbor, NJ in 2001 where they made wonderful memories and friends. Prior to retiring Julia worked as a bookkeeper for Sportscraft.  Julia was a member of the Lafayette Quilter’s Guild, the Seaport Stitchers and the Pieceful Shores Quilt Guild where she made long lasting friends. She enjoyed bowling, bocce, playing canasta and was very talented with knitting, crocheting, and sewing. 

Julia was predeceased by her parents Donald and Nancy Tyrrell and her husband and best friend John S. Gilmour. 

She is survived by her loving children Jane E. Fitzpatrick of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, John E. Gilmour and wife Dawn of Harvest, AL and Victoria R. Landrigan of Maywood, NJ, sister Jane Oliva and husband Ron of Florida, grandchildren Sean Fitzpatrick, Corey Fitzpatrick and wife Gemma, Dima Gilmour, Lacey Gilmour, Kaylee Landrigan and a great-grandson on the way. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 20th, 2023, from 4-7pm and on Thursday September 21st, 2023 from 9-10am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will take place on Thursday September 21st, 2023, at 1pm in Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
