John James Dalton Jr.

John James Dalton, Jr. 84 of West Creek, NJ passed away on Wednesday July 31st, 2024. John was born in Camden, NJ and has been a lifetime resident of West Creek, NJ. John proudly served our nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later worked as a radio communications technician for Ocean County. He was a life member of the Eagleswood Volunteer Fire Company. After his retirement he joined various outdoor clubs and enjoyed hiking, kayaking, boating and woodworking.

John was predeceased by his parents John James Dalton, Sr. and Pauline J. Dalton (nee Shinn) and his beloved wife Barbara Dalton.

He is survived by his loving sons Paul J. Dalton and wife Meg of Maple Shade, NJ, Robert E. Dalton and wife Tina of Jacksonville, NC and Richard J. Dalton of Seattle, WA, and grandchildren Josh, Jonathan and Natalie.

Visitation will be held on Sunday August 4th, 2024 from 6-8pm and on Monday August 5th, 2024 from 9am until his Funeral Service at 11am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow in West Creek Cemetery at 12pm.
