John A Bizzoco

John A. Bizzoco, 82 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on September 30, 2022.  A lifelong resident of NJ, he was born in Orange, grew up in Linden, and raised his family in Hillsborough.  In retirement, he spent the last 20 years in Little Egg Harbor.  John began as a dance instructor, followed by a career as an Insurance Broker for Marsh & McLennan in Morristown, and for several years with NJ State Board of Education. He was a veteran of the US Army National Guard and a member of St. Theresa’s Church.

John’s quick wit, sense of humor, and enthusiasm for everything he did was contagious. He left a lasting impression on all who were lucky to know him, especially his family.  He loved that his shore home became a place to gather and enjoy fishing, boating, crabbing and swimming. His greatest joy was his children and grandchildren. He supported them in all they did.  He attended countless sporting events, concerts, dance performances, and plays.  He was also very active in scouting, serving as Cub Master and Assistant Scout Master, attending many Boy Scout activities.  He took pride in his two sons and five grandsons all achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. 

John is survived by his beloved wife Connie of 59 years, daughter Dawn Marie Dobroksy and husband Darrin of PA, son Guy A. Bizzoco and wife Marianne of CA, son Brian J. Bizzoco and wife Karen of NJ, as well as 7 grandchildren Kevin, Nicole, Melanie, Matthew, Michael, Steven, and Louis.

John was predeceased by his parents Gaetano and Mary Bizzoco, and sister Clara Moffitt.

Viewing will be held on Thursday October 6, 2022 from 4 to 8pm and Friday October 7, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 7, 2022 at 11am at St. Theresa’s R.C. Church 450 Radio Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087 followed by burial at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
