Joan Orpen

Joan Orpen, 83, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Saturday February 11, 2017. Joan was born in New York, NY and lived in Aberdeen, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor 16 years ago. Joan was a Communicant of St. Theresa's R.C. Church in Little Egg Harbor. She was very active in her adult community and the Food Pantry. She loved playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
Joan was predeceased by her parents Francis and Dorothy McKeever and her son Daniel McCarthy.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Raymond Orpen, Children Michael McCarthy of Little Egg Harbor, Raymond McCarthy and wife Sharon of Middletown, DE, Maureen Miller and husband Lou of Belvidere, NJ, Susan Gido and husband Walter of Edison, NJ, Raymond Orpen III of Union Beach, NJ and Fred Orpen and wife Hildi of Monroe, NJ, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 15, 2017 from 5-8pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday February 16, 2017 at 11am at St Theresa's Church, Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Burial will follow in Marlboro Memorial Cemetery in Marlboro, NJ.
