Jerome P. Perlongo Sr.

Jerome P. Perlongo Sr., 88, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, Jerome spent 53 years living in Middletown, NJ, before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ two years ago. Jerome served in the United States Army where he received the Good Conduct Medal as well as the National Defense Service Medal. His career at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY started in the late 60’s. He transferred to the Cranford office and returned to the New York office before his retirement as an officer in 1994.

Jerome was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Middletown, NJ. He enjoyed spending time with his children and their families, as well as his winters in Tampa, FL, painting ceramics, traveling, watching sports including soccer, and cheering on the Rangers while actively cheering against the Flyers, and attending Italian and Irish festivals. He was a terrific singer and dancer who enjoyed going to Broadway shows.

Jerome is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Julia Perlongo, and brother Peter Perlongo.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 62 years, son Frank of Tampa, FL, daughter Teresa Schmidt and husband Don of Jackson, NJ, daughter Melissa Fleming and late husband Michael of Barnegat, NJ, daughter Linda Pease and husband Ed of Union Beach, NJ, son Jerome and wife Barbara of Huntersville, NC, son Richard of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, son Alfred and wife Kelli of Las Vegas, NV, sister Jacqueline Liebig and late husband Herbie, sister-in-law Gladys Perlongo, brother Richard Perlongo, grandchildren Doug, Carissa and husband Zac, Tori and husband Alvaro, Abigail and fiancé Matt, Michael and fiancé Erica, Eugene, Robert and wife Anne, Chase, great grandchildren Jonathan, Anthony, Sophia, Olivia, Luciana and Amelia, many nieces and nephews, and close family friend Alfredo Goncalves.

Visitation will be held on Monday June 12, 2023 from 2-4 pm and again from 7-9 pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor NJ 08087. Cremation will be private.
