James Michael Grayson

James Michael Grayson—known to all as Jimmy—passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2025, at the age of 79. He was surrounded by the love of his daughter Serena and niece Melissa. Born on March 22, 1945, to Richard and Mildred (Faulkinburg) Grayson, Jimmy lived a life larger than words can capture.

Jimmy was the proud father of two children: Serena Jean Vetri, who, with her husband Chris, gave him two cherished grandchildren, Bradley James and Lilyana Jayne, and Kirk Michael Grayson, who, along with his wife Jill, blessed him with two adored granddaughters, Madison Leigh and Caleigh Rose. Serena’s mother, Muffin, who is now deceased, was Jimmy’s lifelong companion. His ex-wife, Karen, Kirk’s mother, also remained a meaningful part of his life.

Alongside Muffin, Jimmy embraced his role as a stepfather to Justine, Eddie, and Diane. He is predeceased by his stepson, Robbie. His extended family includes ten additional grandchildren: Tina, Ashley, Pamela, Kayla, Jenette, Robert, Patrick, Zachary, and Claudia. Little Eddie, another beloved grandson, is fondly remembered.

Jimmy is survived by five of his nine siblings—Rita, Edward, Albert, Michael, and Elizabeth—and is predeceased by Helen, Richard, Thomas, and Robert. He leaves behind countless nieces and nephews, each carrying unique memories of “Uncle Jimmy.”

A die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, Jimmy watched every game with passion, shouting at the TV as if the players could hear him. To him, football wasn’t just a game—it was a way of life.

Jimmy didn’t just walk into a room; he owned it, commanding respect and admiration. His life was nothing short of legendary—a battle-hardened saga with nine unforgettable chapters, each filled with defining moments, daring choices, and unwavering strength.

 As a master carpenter, he built more than structures—he built a legacy that will forever reside in the hearts of his family and friends.

 Cremation will be held privately.
