James Michael Childs

James “Jimmy” Michael Childs, 67 of Barnegat, NJ passed away on Tuesday March 7^th, 2023. Jimmy was born in Lewiston, ME and spent time living in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Long Branch, NJ, Toms River, NJ, Maplewood, NJ, Little Egg Harbor, NJ and most recently Barnegat, NJ for the last 4 years. In his younger years, Jimmy was a gas station attendant, which he truly enjoyed. Jimmy was very routine oriented and would mow lawns for friends and neighbors as well as keep the outside yard looking nice for his Mom and sister. He enjoyed watching westerns, playing country music very loudly, and collecting Budweiser beer steins. Jimmy was not a fan of crowds, but he was always happy to help whenever asked.

Jimmy was predeceased by his father Harold Redding Childs Sr., brother Harold Redding Childs Jr. (Chuckie) and sister Elizabeth Childs. 

He is survived by his loving mother Renee Elizabeth Childs of Barnegat, NJ, brother Joseph Allen Childs and wife Karen, nieces and nephews Charline Childs and significant other Aaron Bell, John Childs and wife Kimberlee, Michele Vogel and husband Robert and Adam Childs and wife Christina and many other great nieces and nephews.  

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 25^th, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with a gathering to follow in the Fellowship Hall. 500 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
