Isabel Ortiz-Murphy

Isabel Ortiz-Murphy, 90 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Sunday July 9^th, 2023. Isabel was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she graduated from Academia Catolica High School, and moved to New York City in 1954. She spent time living in Brooklyn, NY, Staten Island, NY and Florida before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ 21 years ago. Isabel loved talking about her jobs at American Retail Credit Company, Pan American Trade, Rohner Gehrig Shipping Corp., Schenkers International and Panalpina Inc. She was a hard worker who took very good care of her family. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City, cooking, traveling, shopping and gardening.

Isabel was predeceased by her parents Jose Maria Ortiz and Genoveva Ortiz, husband John Murphy and her brother Jose Maria Ortiz.

She is survived by her loving children Vanessa Isabel Murphy-Castagliola and her husband Leonard, Roland Patrick Murphy, Rebecca Patricia Murphy-Erickson and her husband Michael and Jonathan Bruce Murphy, brother Jacinto Manuel Ortiz, grandchildren Ryan Patricia (Ildiko), Erica Alyssa (Eugene), Marc Joseph (Kristin), Roland Patrick, Kyle Brendan (Taylor), Michael (Andrew), Anthony Alexander (Colleen), Zachary Austin and Brianna Danielle (Haley) and great-grandchildren Sophia Raya, Skyler Eileen, Julian Michael, Lexie Hayden, Alivia Rose, Joseph John, Emmett Robert and Andrew Leo.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 13^th, 2023 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and on Friday July 14^th, 2023 from 8-9am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 14^th, 2023 at 9:30am at St. Theresa’s R.C Church 450 Radio Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087 followed by burial in St. Charles Cemetery Long Island, NY.
