Irene Titus passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Irene was born in New York City to Edward F. X. and Irene A.J. Novey on March 22, 1960. She had spent weekends at Long Beach Island since 1978 and resided in Manahawkin since 1987.
Her professional life was anchored by her love for helping people, previously serving in administrative roles at Pulsar-Quartz, Wawa, Habitat for Humanity of Southern Ocean County, and Stafford Township Education Foundation. Most recently she served as a Teacher Aide at Stafford Township School District.
Irene loved her students, classic rock concerts, family movie nights, and enjoying summers in Ship Bottom.
Irene is survived by her loving partner of 43 years, Kenneth “Scott” Titus; children Nicole Elizabeth and Amy Lynn Titus; and countless family and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Irene A.J. Novey, father, Edward F.X. Novey; sister Mary Elizabeth Novey, and mother-in-law Dorothy Elizabeth Titus.
A celebration of life is to be held at a later date.
