Helen L. Nahass

Helen L. Nahass, 85 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at home on Sunday August 4, 2024. Helen was born Scottdale, PA and spent time living in Iselin, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ 38 years ago. Helen was a wonderful homemaker, mother, aunt and a very active and faithful member of the Southern Ocean Congregational Church in Parkertown, NJ. Helen served as a greeter, usher, communion server and helped organize the white elephant gift exchange.

Helen was predeceased by her parents George and Ellen Harris, husband Albert, son Richard, Daughter Kimberly, brother Harold Harris and brother-in-law Edward Hollis.

She is survived by her loving sister Marjorie Hollis, nieces Suzanne, Barbara and Sharon, great-niece Gretchen and Meghan and great-nephew Jonathan; nephew Mark and niece Debbie as well as many loving friends from church.

The family would like to extend their immense thanks to Helen’s caregiver, Roseann Ulrich for the wonderful love and care that Helen received and also to Helen’s dear friend, Beverly Wintjen for her kindness, compassion and friendship.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024 from 9am until her Funeral Service at 9:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow in Shoreland Memorial Gardens in Hazlet, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Southern Ocean Congregational Church at P.O. Box 557 Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
