Gerald W. Winterstein

Gerald W. Winterstein, 84, of New Gretna, NJ, passed away on Wednesday April 16, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Gerald resided there until moving to New Gretna 28 years ago. Gerald was a Union Local 30 roofer for Baron Roofing in Philadelphia, PA. He enjoyed living in the Chips Folly Campground community, camping, model trains, taking hunting trips with family, and was a big NASCAR fan.

Gerald was predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth Winterstein, brother William Winterstein Jr., and sister Joan Sutton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Marie Winterstein of New Gretna, sons Gerald Jr and wife Denise of Winter Park FL, Robert and wife Debbie of Warminster, PA, and Jesse of Landsdale, PA, daughter Lisa Gibbons and life partner Donna Shepis of Croydon, PA, and sister Marie Crosby and husband Edward of New Gretna. Also surviving are his grandchildren Holly Soley and husband Tom, Gerald III and wife Moira, Jasmine Blair, and Mandalynn Freeland and husband Robert, great grandchildren Jacob Torres, Wesley Freeland, Francesca Soley, Fin Soley and Emery Winterstein.

Visitation will be held on Saturday April 26,2025 from 11a-1p at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Road, Little Egg Harbor, NJ, 08087. Cremation will be private.
