Gerald D. Connolly, 69 of Holiday, FL passed on Monday September 12, 2016. Gerald was born in Newark, was a lifetime resident of Tuckerton until moving to Florida 15 years ago. He worked as an Engineer for Southern Ocean Medical Center and was a member of the Tuckerton Volunteer Fire Department. He served our nation in the United States Air Force and was the Jr Vice Commander for the Holiday FL VFW Post #10167.
His parents Clement and Kathryn Connolly, brother Clem Connolly, sisters Irene Czaplinski and Doris Hesselberg predeceased him.
He is survived by his loving wife Joan Connolly of 47 years, his son John Connolly and fiancé Pam Sherman of Mt Vernon, WA, daughter Debbie DeGregorio-Hand and husband James of Little Egg Harbor, brothers Raymond Connolly and wife Jean
of Tuckerton, Gene Connolly of Whiting, sister Cathy Connolly of FL, sister-in-law Dolores Connolly, grandchildren Kristin, Briana and husband Rob, Andrea, Sandra, Cassie, Justin and great-grandchild Camryn.
Visitation will be held on Sunday September 18, 2016 from 2 until his Funeral Service at 5pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the VFW Post 316 at 30 Gifford Rd, Tuckerton, NJ 08087 or to the Tuckerton Fire Dept. at 111 N Green St, Tuckerton, NJ 08087.
