George Sollart

George “Dutch” H. Sollart, 95 of Whiting NJ passed away on Sunday July 9th, 2023. George was born, raised and lived in Clifton, NJ until his retirement and spent time living in Waretown, NJ before moving to Whiting 8 years ago. George proudly served our nation in the United States Navy and worked as an aviation sales engineer.

He first soloed at age 16 and enjoyed flying his whole life. He was a member of the Masons and served as Master of the Clifton Masonic Temple. He was also a member of The Quiet Birdmen and served as Governor of the New York Hangar.

George was predeceased by his parents Herman and Matilda Sollart and his son Wayne Sollart.

He is survived by his loving wife Arlene of 73 years, daughter Wendy Koval of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, son Christopher Sollart and his wife Jennifer Stotts of Albuquerque, NM, grandchildren Timothy Koval and his wife Loreta, Sage Andress and her husband Will, and Dara Sollart and her partner Jeff, great-grandson Ben Koval, great-granddaughter Harlow Andress, and daughter-in-law Gyda Sollart (Wayne).

Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Legion Post 493 at 420 Radio Rd, Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08087.
