George Delmonico, 68 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Monday January 11, 2021. Born in Morristown, NJ he lived in Toms River, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor over 25 years ago. George retired from the US Postal Service after 40 years of service. He attended St. Theresa’s Church in Little Egg Harbor and was a part-time driver for Seacrest Village. George was an avid sports fan and would root for the NY Jets and NY Mets, he enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with his children and grandchildren and he was always a good time to be around. Anybody who knew George, loved George.
He is survived by his beloved life partner of 28 years Shirley Susco, loving children George Delmonico and wife Bobbi of Bayville, NJ, Jillian Trainor and husband John of Brick, NJ and Timothy Delmonico and wife Denia of Lakewood, NJ, brothers Eugene Delmonico and wife Mickey of Morristown, NJ, Glen Delmonico of Seaside Park, sister Sharon Becker of San Diego, CA and grandchildren Kayla, Matthew, Ayleen and Michael.
Visitation will be on Monday January 18, 2021 from 9am to 10:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11am at St. Theresa’s Church, 450 Radio Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087 followed by Entombment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Toms River, NJ. Please note, due to COVID-19 the funeral home is operating at limited capacity as per NJ executive order. Staff will be there to assist. All visitors must wear a face mask inside the funeral home and church at all times.
