Evelyn V Roberts

Evelyn V. Roberts, 92 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away suddenly but peacefully with her daughter Sharlene, Dean Heiler, and nieces MaryClare and Payton Poland by her side on Monday November 25, 2019. Evelyn was born in and lived in Elizabeth, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor 19 years ago.
She was a Communicant of St Hedwig's Parish in Elizabeth and worked as a Bridal seamstress in Newark after High School then a telephone Operator for NJ Bell. After raising her daughter she was a Teachers Aid at William Halloran School #22 in Elizabeth. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, birdwatching, gardening, going for car rides and taking care of her dogs.

Evelyn was predeceased by her parents Paul and Julia Fifik, husband Leo J. Roberts, brother Paul Fifik and sisters Margaret Roberts, Julia Ford and Mary Jack.

She is survived by her loving daughter Sharlene Roberts and Dean Heiler who was like a son and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday December 2, 2019 from 7-9pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day on Tuesday December 3, 2019 at 10am at St Hedwig’s Church 600 Myrtle St, Elizabeth, NJ 07202 followed by burial in St Gertrude’s Cemetery 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067.
