Edward J Brereton Jr.

Edward J. Brereton, 71 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ died at home on Tuesday July 24, 2018.  Born in Teaneck, NJ he lived in North Jersey and Texas before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1985.  Edward was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and worked as a mechanic for Gardner Cadillac in Manahawkin.  He enjoyed car shows, making deals at flea markets, and building and racing his own stock race cars.
Edward is survived by his wife of 35 years Dana F. Brereton, son Paul Brereton (Elizabeth Donnelly) of Windsor, Ontario Canada, daughters Dana R. Brereton (Rob Avon) of Pt. Pleasant, NJ, and Donna Oaks (Brett) of Arizona, grandchildren Josephine Donnelly, Sarah Sundermann, Danae Oaks (Alex Hein) and William Oaks and great grandchild Christian.
Services will be private and under the care of Maxwell Funeral Home, Little Egg Harbor.
