Dorothy C Ponzini

Dorothy Carol Ponzini (nee Wager) 86 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 24th 2021. Born in Chicago, IL, Dorothy moved to NJ where she raised her family in Hazlet. As the first female manager in company history, Dorothy retired from Tom McAnn shoe store before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2003. There Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, gardening and swimming as well as spending time with her beloved family. Dorothy is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Ida Wager, as well as her three sisters Ida, Marion and Josephine and brother Joseph.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Richard Ponzini of over 69 years, her beautiful daughters and sons-in-law Diana and Michael Kenney, Judith and Albert Lovecky and Ronda Fullam, eight grandchildren and their spouses. Michelle and Frank Doughtery, Michael and Amy Kenney and Joshua Kenney; Christina and Patrick Fullam-Wiles, Joanna and Michael Murphy and John and Kristen Fullam, Albert Lovecky and April and Steve McPhereson. Her legacy includes 16 great grandchildren ages 3 months to 19 years, Francis, Gabrielle, Abigail, Liberty, Liam, Austin, Cameron, Luke, Christian, Elliotte, Avery, Michelle, Alexa, Shane, Athan and Caiden. She also leaves behind two sisters Frances and Roberta, niece Lisa Ferdine and nephew Jeffery Wager.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 29, 2021 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 4:30pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A repast will follow at 5:30pm at the Dynasty Diner, Tuckerton.
