Doris J Sano

Doris June Sano, (Nee Magnussen) 86 of Tuckerton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 7th 2016.
A native of Staten Island, NY, Doris was born June 4th 1930 and grew up in Mariners Harbor with her parents Thorsten and Doris, and her twelve brothers and sisters, all of whom are predeceased. Doris was married for 61 years to her loving husband Joseph Sano Sr, also predeceased. Together they had two children, Joseph Jr and Barbara. Doris worked for JC Penny for over 20 years, until retiring at the Jersey shore with her family.
Doris loved to cook, drink wine and watch the Yankees play ball. She touched so many lives and brought everyone around her joy. Nothing mattered more than her family. Doris was a converted Catholic and had a strong faith in God. She is survived by her children Joey [and his wife Diane], Barbara [and her husband John], her grandchildren Sabrina [and her husband Doel], Christopher [and his wife Allison], Lisa, Valerie, and her great-grandchildren Jessica, Christopher Jr, Matthew, Brayden, Samantha and Gavin. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.
A viewing will be held on Sunday the 10th of July 2pm-6pm at Maxwell Funeral Home in Little Egg Harbor and a service on Monday the 11th, 11am. No church afterward.
