Dolores Farrell

Dolores (Dolly) Farrell, 87 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on January 5, 2023. Born in 1935, Dolly spent time living in Hillsdale, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor, NJ 12 years ago. Dolly was an active member atThe Parish of St. Theresa. She volunteered at the Sea Oaks community and at Interfaith Organization of Southern Ocean County. Dolly was an active alumni of St. Vincent’s Nursing School in the Bronx, NY, and spent many years working as a nurse at St. Vincents Hospital in lower Manhattan and Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Dolly was a thoughtful person, who had a special relationship with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved a good bargain and enjoyed shopping at Macy’s and Boscov’s, as well as going to garage and estate sales. She was an avid reader and enjoyed staying up to date with current events. 

Dolores is predeceased by her husband Thomas Farrell, parents Jack and Rita Carter, and sister Dorothy Boser.  

She is survived by her son Thomas Farrell and wife Lisa of Bonita Springs, FL, daughter Rita Edwards of Galloway, NJ, son John Farrell and wife Susan of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, son James Farrell and wife Kathleen of Scotch Plains, NJ, daughter Dee Abbott and her partner Mark of Tuckerton, NJ, son Michael Farrell and wife Lisa of Rockaway, NJ, son Myles Farrell and wife Jane of Rockaway, NJ, daughter Theresa Diamante and husband Marc of Pembroke Pines, FL, brother John Carter and wife Sue of Norfolk, MA, brother-in-law Robert Farrell of Lake Frederick, VA, grandchildren Joseph, Courtney, Erin, Bridget, Rose, Fiona, Claire, Brendan, Colleen, Daniel, Loren, Trisha, Amanda, Chelsea, Casey, Jack, Caitlin, Nora, and great grandchildren Evelyn, Isaac, Gia, Josephine, Alice, Mary, Jaeden, Lucas, and Addelynne. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday January 8th, 2023 from 3-7pm and on Monday  January 9th, 2023 from 9:30-10:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday January 9th, 2023 at 11am at St Theresa’s R.C. Church 450 Radio Rd Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Cremation and interment will be private.
