Danny Letostak, 66, of Little Egg Harbor lost his battle to Squamous cell carcinoma on September 29th. Danny was a loving husband, father and grandfather to his amazing family. Danny loved his work as much as he loved his family and his enjoyment in participating in the productions of many sporting events through such jobs as Grip(utility), job operator, A2 audio assistant, camera man, and dolly grip. He was an auto body paint technician for more than 40 years.
Danny was born in Plainfield, NJ and was raised in South Plainfield until moving to Plainfield with his wife and 2 kids. He enjoyed going to Giants games and watching Nascar. He made it cool to watch the Discovery channel before most people knew what the Discovery channel was. He enjoyed taking trips to Disney every year with his family, especially the plane ride down there where he could record 2-plus hours of clouds with his monstrous video camera. He wasnââ¬â¢t much for rides but he did enjoy taking a nap during the presidentââ¬â¢s performance in the Magic Kingdom where it was always nice to cool off. He had an enjoyment for bears, from the Country Bear Jamboree in Disney world to his love of collecting Coca Cola memorabilia with the polar bear on it.
Danny was married to his wife Joann Letostak, of Chatham, NJ, for 30 years before losing her to Cancer in 2005. He was able to find someone else that made him just as happy when he met and married Sharon Laurita. They enjoyed some great years before losing her to cancer in 2017. After losing her, Danny dove even more into his television work to keep his mind active and enjoying what he was doing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and loved life until the very end.
Danny is preceded in death by his mother Dolly Hendrex Letostak, his wives Joann Letostak and Sharon Laurita, and his first born son Danny Paul. He is survived by his father and mother Steve and Loretta Letostak of South Plainfield, his son and daughter-in-law Lewis and Gioanna Letostak of Middlesex and their 2 children Aiden and Kayla, his daughter Dawn Letostak of Little Egg Harbor, a daughter Lauren Wotton Pasquariello and her husband, Jeff and their 2 children, Ryan and Ava, a sister, Cathy Crowley of Forked River and a brother, Chester Letostak of Tom's River. He is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Dannyââ¬â¢s friends have set up a GoFundMe page in his honor to help his family with the financial burden of his situation.
