Cheryle Stewart

Cheryle Obsorn Stewart died on December 8, 2024 at S.O.C.H in Manahawkin, NJ. Cheryle was born on January 19,1950 in Philadelphia, PA to Louis and Dorothy (Remer) Osborn.

She worked many years in the casino industry, which she loved, as well as working as a cashier for many years.

Cheryle was a gifted storyteller, who could recall every decade in her life. She could tell you a story 100 times, but each time it was as if it was the first time. Cheryle enjoyed history, especially the Civil War era. She also loved old black and white movies and was able to recite scenes from her favorites. One of those scenes being “sisters” from White Christmas that reminded her of her twin Kathleen, one wore the dress and one stayed home”. They were two peas in a pod, but yet very different. Cheryle loved people and they loved her. She was a no-nonsense type of woman that told you how she felt, a straight shooter, however, she had the kindest and sweetest heart of everyone.

Cheryle is predeceased by her husband Robert Stewart, identical twin Kathleen Isaryk, sister Patricia Redmond, and brothers Dennis Osborn, Anthony “Hoss” Osborn, and Louis Osborn.

She was a loving mother who is survived by her 3 children, daughter Bethann (Stewart) Cook and her husband George of New Gretna, NJ, son Robert Stewart and his significant other Suzette of NC, son Shane Sloan and his wife Sabrina of Parkertown, NJ, and their family. Her siblings Linda Tizol, Barbara McKinney, Mark “Buddy” Osborn, Antoinette “Nan” Deuber, and Helen “Sissy” Osborn. Grandchildren Harry Wurzel, Shane Sloan Jr., Jonathan Cook, Brianna Cook, and Kyra Stewart. Great grandchildren Liam Sloan and Grayson Sloan. Daughter in law Lisa Stewart, and many nieces, nephews family, and friends.

We believe Cheryle would look back on her life like a good day’s work done, and I am satisfied with it.
