Charles William Kaufmann, 83, of Little Egg Harbor,
passed away peacefully after a long illness on Friday, September 25, 2020.
A long-time resident of New York, he was born in Flushing, and grew up in College Point. He lived in Amityville, Long Islandfor 52 years before moving to Little Egg Harbor.
Charlie was a design draftsman for over 35 years at EDO corporation. He was a passionate Yankee fan, enjoyed traveling with his wife, and playing the slot machines at Atlantic City. He loved spending time with family and friends and engaging in a game of Rummikub with his grandchildren. Charlie was known for his ability to always make everyone around him laugh with his quick-wit and his honest opinions.
Charlie was predeceased by his parents Charles and Angela Kaufmann and sisters Evelyn Rath and Margaret Connors.
He is survived by his loving wife of Elizabeth, of 39 years, his son Steven Kaufmann and wife Lori, daughter Christine and husband Michael Riggi, daughter Stephanie and husband Brian Cooper, grandchildren Kaylena and Angelene Kaufmann, Michael and Alexandra Riggi, Haley Cooper and brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Barbara DeBaylo.
Visitation and a service will be held on Tuesday September 29, 2020 from 10 to 12 pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087 followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Tuckerton, N.J.
Due to COVID-19 the funeral home is operating at 25% occupancy capacity as per NJ executive order. Please note that all visitors must wear a face mask inside the funeral home.
