Carol M McDowell

Carol M. McDowell, 76 of Somers Point, NJ passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday January 6^th, 2023. Carol was born in Washington, DC and spent most of her life in Cape May, NJ before moving to Somers Point, NJ a few years ago. Carol was a retired English teacher for the Middle Township High School in Cape May County and loved writing poetry and singing. 

Carol was predeceased by her parents Bernard and Dorothy Schleinhege. 

She is survived by her loving husband Thomas McDowell of 40 years, son Randall and wife Maureen of Tuckerton, NJ, grandchildren Kyra, Elliana, Arielle and Aaron, brother Michael Schleinhege and her cat Rammy the Red. 

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday February 4th from 2-4pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor NJ 08087.
