Our hearts are broken as we announce Antoinette Irene Belotte, known as Dunet, passed away peacefully on December 26th surrounded by her loving family. A life well-lived, she will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her work, her family and her friends. 

Born on June 5, 1932, in Bayonne, NJ, Dunet grew up with a strong sense of independence and determination that shaped her life’s journey. Her career, working as the Secretary to the Commander of the US Army, was an immense source of pride for her. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dunet found joy in her family. Specifically, her son Peter Bauso, his wife Lauren, granddaughters Lisa Bauso, Dani Bauso and Julia Bauso. 

Dunet was pre-deceased by her loving husband Peter Belotte, siblings Lena Wolkowski, Concetta DeSimone, Mary LoBello and Gabriel Suruch, and parents Francis Surach and Pietro Surach. 

Her family takes comfort in knowing she left this world as she lived in it, strong, loving and surrounded by those who adored her. 

Visitation will be held on Friday January 3rd, 2025 from 10am until her Funeral Service at 12pm at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown RD. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. Burial will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. 

Dunet leaves behind a legacy of hard work, compassion, resilience, humor and sharp sense of fashion. She is a shining example of a life well-lived and heart well-loved. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
