Anthony Trongone Jr., beloved husband of Beverly (nee Crawford), passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 28 in Mystic Island, NJ. He was 83 years old.
Born in Paterson, NJ, Anthony later moved to the Glendora/Runnemede area. He began his successful business as proprietor of Tony’s Triangle Gulf in Runnemede, later expanding to Deptford Service Center and Glendora Service Center with his sons. He was well-known and admired for his knowledge and strong work ethic in the auto repair industry, dedicating long hours to his craft.
Anthony enjoyed coaching the Glendora Little League for several years and supported the sports his sons participated in. He also cherished his spare time spent golfing and bowling. Above all, spending time with his grandchildren and family brought him the greatest joy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his devoted son, Anthony III (Donna); and dear daughter Lauren Puglisi. He was predeceased by his son, Joseph Leonard, and daughter Joan Marie Trongone. Anthony is survived by his sisters, Pat Carnevale (Russ, predeceased), Sandra Germann (Jim), Toni Bright (Tom), brothers, Leonard Santangelo (Joann), and Gerald Trongone (Kathy). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren: the late Tara, Anthony IV (Marcie), Joseph, Nicolo (Shawna), Philip, Michael (Emily) Trongone, Joseph Jenzano, Edward, and Colton Clark. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Nessia, Anthony V, Vincenzo, Philip, and Nicolo Jr. Trongone.
Anthony was predeceased by his lifelong friend John Ricci and survived by extended grandsons, Robert and Chris McMullen and Frank Coratolo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Millville Education Foundation, 110 N. 3rd St. Millville, NJ 08332.
