Anne M. Baker (Cier), 94 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Saturday January 9, 2021.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa. Anne spent time living in Levittown, Pa and Washington State before moving to Parkertown in 1965.
Anne, along with John “Reds” Baker, was the proud owner of Bakers Acres Campground from 1968 to 1990. After retirement she continued to be an ambassador to the campground to many generations of campers. Anne and John put smiles on many thousands of faces and helped to create millions of memories. She was one of the first members of the NJCOA. She was a Communicant of St. Theresa’s Church, a member of the Eastern Star, the Red Hat Society and the Great Bay Women’s Club.
Anne was predeceased by her husband John “Reds” Baker, Brothers Steve, Frank, Joseph, John, George and Andrew Cier. Sisters Margaret, Katherine, Betty, Irene and Rose.
Anne is survived by her children Carol Pilot (John) of Virginia, Gail Brenner (Conrad) Of Little Egg Harbor NJ, Jack Baker (Maureen) of Little Egg Harbor NJ, Richard Baker (Vanessa) of Northfield NJ, Debbie Dockery of Maryland,[MB1] 15 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 15th, 2021 from 9-10:30 AM at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Rd, Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087. A funeral[MB2] Mass will be held on Friday January 15th, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Theresa’s Church 450 Radio Rd, Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087 followed by burial at West Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia, which was very dear to Anne’s heart. Please note, due to COVID-19 and NJ Executive Order, the funeral home is operating at limited capacity. Staff will be on-hand to assist. All visitors must wear a face mask inside the funeral home and church at all times. There will be a live feed at the Mass for those who cannot attend.
