Angelo "Benny" S. Beningaso

Angelo S. Beningaso Jr. “Benny” 87 of Bass River Township, NJ passed away on Wednesday May 17, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.  Born and raised in Hackensack, NJ he lived in Clifton, NJ before moving to Bass River Twp. in 1987.  Benny was active in the Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and later became a Scout Leader.  He worked for the State of NJ as a Heavy Equipment Operator; owned and operated Cleveland Roofing and Siding in Hackensack and worked for Bass River Twp for many years.  He was a US Army Veteran and a member of the MICA Club.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the casino, socializing with family and friends and cheering on his Chicago Bears. 

Angelo was predeceased by his parents Angelo and Mamie Beningaso, brother Michael Beningaso and sisters Antoinette Beningaso, Josephine Carlino and Theresa Gramaglia.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Frannie Beningaso, sons Angelo Benincasa (Dawn) and Matt Beningaso, daughters Alicyn Link (Johnny) and Deidre Butcher (Keith) and grandchildren Bianca, Nicholas, Gianna, Anthony, Joshua and Calista.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 24, 2023 from 4 to 8pm and Thursday May 25 from 9:30 to 10:30am at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Rd. Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11am at St. Theresa’s R.C. Church 450 Radio Rd Little Egg Harbor followed by burial at Miller Cemetery, New Gretna.
