Allan R. Tompkins ""Crabby Al"", 81 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away on Sunday September 8, 2019. Al was born in Abington, PA, was raised in Philadelphia, PA and lived in Southampton, PA before moving to Little Egg Harbor 24 years ago. He was active in Lighthouse Alliance Church in Little Egg Harbor and he enjoyed boating and crabbing which is where his nickname came from.
Allan graduated from Germantown Academy in 1956 and then continued his education at Carnegie Tech. He worked at his family owned business Tolas Label Company and Status Label until he retired.
Allan is survived by his loving wife of 21 years Jacqueline Tompkins, his first wife Paula Tompkins, sons Kevin Tompkins, Brian Tompkins, and daughters Cynthia Coleman, Diane Albright, Eva Kamm, Richard Catalano, sister Judy Steel and husband Russ, grandchildren Emily Lynn, Molly, Justin, Freddy, Theresa, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Christopher and Alexandria, great granddaughter Justice and nieces Kathy and Alison.
Services are private and under the care of Maxwell Funeral Home, Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
